The plugin JAT3 framework must be installed... 09 Mar 2011 16:41 #546

Hi Mariusz,

I have bought this template (which looks great!) and I have tried to install it without success on 3 different systems, including on a professional webhosting.

In each case whenever I activate the template and then view the website I get the message on the screen "The plugin JAT3 framework must be installed and enabled".

I am using the quickstart installation file. From the documentation I understand that by the Template installation you have to manually install the JA T3 and the JA Typo modules. However in the documentation about the Quickstart installation there is no mention of this, and it would seem to me a bit illogical to have to do that with such a 'quickstart' installation.

I have tried anyway to install those 2 modules manually but in each case via the extension manager I get "Warning! Failed to move file" when I try to upload and install them. I could try to manually unpack them but then I'm not so sure what files would have to go where.

I have looked at some of the other threads in the Zephyrus part of the forum and if I compare my own settings with this here then I have no Parameters JA Extended at the bottom of the list. I suspect that this is the problem, but how am I supposed to fix this?

Any advice or tips about this would be very much appreciated.
Thanks,
Gijs

Hi,

if you installed quickstart package you don't install any extensions. Quickstart file is complete site. Look here how to install quickstart joomla file: support.mariuszboloz.com/forum/12-anne/7...nd-templates.html#78

Hi Mariusz,

Thanks, I have managed to sort it, the solution was that the example data had to be installed. Now everything seems to be working fine. Having installed Joomla countless times I usually avoid cluttering the site with the example data. I didn't realise this was necessary to get the plugins working. Maybe an idea to specify this in the installation instructions?

Cheers,
Gijs
